The problem:
I have two tables (>1 million records) 'Yest' and 'Today' which are structurally identical (same column names, cardinality and constraints). The data in 'yest' table may have changed (adds, deletes, changes). I need to get a net-change between the two tables' data, identifying which records from 'yest' have changed in 'today', which have been deleted from 'yest', and which have been added to 'today'. I tried with minus and not-in operators. But the performance is poor. Any leads?
The db version is Oracle 8i.
Thanks!
